Multimedia Communications Coordinator

Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) is ranked 13th globally. It is also placed 1st amongst the world’s best young universities. The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) at NTU is a national science Research Centre of Excellence. Its mission is to conduct fundamental research on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunami and climate change in and around Southeast Asia, toward safer and more sustainable societies. The Earth Observatory of Singapore is looking to appoint a Senior Executive (Multimedia Communications).

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop video plan that leverages editorial calendar and scheduled research projects.
Design, develop and implement highly accessible online multimedia experiences, applications and resources
Responsible for developing video content across owned and earned social channels, supporting the Digital Communications Specialist
Responsible for developing video and multimedia content for the website and the EOS Blog that elevates recent publications and media outreach, supporting the Communications Manager
Responsible for developing video content at key onsite and offsite events, conferences and workshops, and providing applicable multimedia engagement tools, supporting the Database and Outreach Manager
Collaborate with the Webmaster to create ways to showcase video and multimedia efforts on the EOS and ASE websites
Manage own projects assigned and meet deadlines, and attend meetings as appropriate
Additional duties as assigned


BA or BS Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and at least 2 – 4 years of experience
Experience working in a University or NGO
Experience creating short-topic videos for social media platforms as well as websites and conferences
Experience and expertise using FinalCut Pro and InDesign
Experience creating animated videos and illustrations, using most current software available
Demonstrated troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities
Experience working collaboratively on project teams, including with researchers and outside specialists, in a fast-paced, creative environment
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work with multiple agendas and goal
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
