Research Fellow (Marine Geophysics)

Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) is ranked 13th globally. It is also placed 1st amongst the world’s best young universities. The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) at NTU is a national science Research Centre of Excellence. Its mission is to conduct fundamental research on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunami and climate change in and around Southeast Asia, toward safer and more sustainable societies.

We invite applications for Research Fellows in Marine Geology and Geophysics to analyse marine data and actively participate in the EOS upcoming marine geophysical experiments.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Participate in upcoming marine geophysical experiments
Analyze and interpret geophysical data acquired during these experiments
Work on high-quality industry data and integrate them with academic data
Write papers and publish these results in peer reviewed journals and present results at international conferences
Actively participate in discussions with PhD students and EOS faculty members

Requirements: 

PhD in Geology or Geophysics with experience in structural geology and/or active source seismology
Willing to travel overseas on a regular basis
Independent individual who is creative, self-driven, and highly motivated
Great written and oral communication
Excellent proficiency in English
