I am currently studying the structure of the Chittagong-Myanmar Fold Belt, Bangladesh using seismic reflection data. The seismic sections that I depth convert and interpret will be combined with geologic and earthquake data into a regional 3D fault model to assess seismic hazards and add to our understanding of the area’s tectonic history. This January I will also be helping to acquire, process, and interpret seismic data in Nepal using the department’s vibroseis minibuggy. I am also exploring PhD programs for fall of 2014.
