Gina SARKAWI
Professional Activities:
My research interests lie in how tectonic deformation varies at different subduction zone settings around South East Asia, and how this varies on differing timescales of centuries to millennia. My current research utilizes coral microatolls as a proxy for relative sea level which can then be used to discern land deformation, glacial isostatic adjustment, and tectonic deformation. Specifically, my field regions are in the Philippines and Indonesia.
