I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Asian School of Environment under the umbrella of the Earth Observatory of Singapore, under an Interdisciplinary Graduate School (IGS) scholarship. My research interests include late Quaternary sea level, marine geology, coastal geology and sedimentology. My PhD research will centre upon understanding the early Holocene sea level rise (SLR) in Singapore, on whether the SLR was ‘stepped’ or ‘continuous’. I am also a Visiting Research Associate (VRA) with the British Geological Survey (BGS) from 2015-2017. I am currently working closely with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) to understand the Quaternary geology of the Kallang River Basin where sediment cores will be obtained and analysed to produce sea level index points (SLIPs) for the early Holocene.
