Profile
Iwan HERMAWAN completed his BSc in geodetic engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia, in 2003. From 2005 to 2010, he completed his Master and PhD in geoscience from Universite Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) where he was involved in managing various GPS campaigns in Indonesia dedicated for Seismo-tectonic studies in various areas of Indonesia: Sulawesi, East Borneo, and West Sumatra.
At EOS, he is working under technical office where he involved in the quantification of crustal deformation (acquisition and processing of GPS data) aiming on a better definition of the current tectonic movements and especially the description and understanding of spatial and temporal deformation, in connection with the earthquake cycle, particularly in areas where tectonics movements are high (Indonesia), Myanmar, Bangladesh, India, and Bhutan.
