Our engagement and education initiatives aim to inform the public, inspire actions, and build a local and regional base of highly educated Earth and environmental scientists. Our projects vary in depth, scope, and focus, to support the work of the Observatory's scientists and deepen relationships with local and regional partners.

We work with the media, museums, local communities, regional NGOs, and other groups to communicate our science and co-create engagement activities. Our range of products and activities includes online educational resources such as graphics, videos, blog posts, FAQs, podcasts, and other learning opportunities such as exhibitions and games.

The Community Engagement Office connects with a broad audience on geohazards and climate change to promote a safer and more sustainable future.
