Profile

Dr Lauriane Chardot is the Assistant Director of Community Engagement at the Earth Observatory of Singapore at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She holds a PhD in volcanology and has worked in several observatories including in the Caribbean and New Zealand. In her current role, she leads a diverse team in creating opportunities that enable various communities to benefit from the geohazard and climate change research conducted at the observatory. Highlights include the co-design of exhibitions about geohazards and climate change, the co-development of curricula for Singapore schools, and the co-creation of content with students and educators.
