As part of the activities organised by the Climate Action Carnival to celebrate the reopening of the Sustainable Singapore Gallery, the Earth Observatory of Singapore is proud to present a public screening of 'People of the Forest: Orang Rimba.'

The short documentary film 'People of the Forest: Orang Rimba' offers a brief but intimate look at the lives of the Orang Rimba, a minority group of a few thousand nomadic tribespeoples who live throughout the forests of Jambi province in Sumatra, Indonesia.

The film screening will be followed by a sharing from Ms Zhang Wen, Executive Director of Singapore-based NGO People’s Movement to Stop Haze (PM Haze). The sharing will include the lesser known impact of the transboundary haze crisis and the steps we can take to prevent it from happening again. There will also be a Q&A at the end of the sharing.
