Earth Alive Inter-School Challenge 2024
The Earth Alive Inter-School Challenge is a geography-themed competition designed by the Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) at NTU Singapore and Science Centre Singapore.
After a successful pilot project in 2022, EOS is proud to announce that the second iteration of the Earth Alive Inter-School Challenge is in partnership with U.S. Embassy Singapore and in support of MSE’s Go Green SG 2024 campaign.
The Challenge aims to expand talent development in Geography in Singapore by engaging youth on natural hazards and climate change. It consists of two components:
1. Webinar with Scientists
Date: 26 June, Wednesday
Time: To be confirmed
Submit questions for our Scientists today and hear their answers during this webinar. A secret mission will also be announced to help the participating teams garner more points to contribute to their overall challenge score.
2. Challenge Finale
Date: 8 July 2024, Monday
Time: 12.00pm – 4.00pm: Quiz Missions & Station Games
4.00pm – 5.00pm: Prize Presentation Ceremony
For the Challenge finale, the participating teams will be tasked with quiz missions and invited to play station games at the Earth Alive exhibition in Science Centre Singapore. Points will be combined with the secret mission from the Webinar with Earth Scientists to determine an overall winner.
The winning team will be announced at the prize presentation ceremony on the same day.
