Gender inequality and the lack of recognition in addressing gender disparity remains a significant concern in academia. How can we create a more inclusive and diverse landscape that benefits not only women but the entire research community?

Dr Janice Lee from the Earth Observatory of Singapore, Dr Rachel Oh from the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, and Dr Maxine Mowe from the National University of Singapore are co-organising the “Empowering Early-Career Female Researchers in Environmental Science: Navigating Leadership and Career Pathways” event.

This event will cover different issues, such as challenges faced by early-career female researchers in environmental science and strategies for Equality and Inclusion. It will comprise short presentations, panel discussions, discussion groups and networking sessions in the form of coffee break, lunch and an optional post-event dinner.

Early-career female researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and other relevant stakeholders in environmental and earth sciences are encouraged to register and attend.

Register by 8th October 2023: https://bit.ly/3Z1IAWM

The event is supported by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Singapore, the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv), the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, the National University of Singapore, the Nanyang Technological University, and the Earth Observatory of Singapore.
