People-Coral-Mentawai - full movie
People-Coral-Mentawai is a 2009 documentary film by Isaac Kerlow, Director of the Art Group at the Earth Observatory of Singapore.
People–Coral–Mentawai shows the methods used by scientists at the Earth Observatory of Singapore to develop a timeline of earthquakes in the West Sumatra region using data from corals. The methodology is based on extracting and interpreting data from corals that have been uplifted during earthquakes, a process that is both laborious and ingenious. This data can be used to better understand the behaviour and patterns of earthquakes and tsunamis in Southeast Asia.
